The Sukhoi West Demo Team was developed many years ago as a way to demonstrate the worlds best aerobatic aircraft. Only recently did team restart with Randy Howell and Cory Lovell, flying matching 400hp Sukhoi SU-26 aerobatic aircraft. The Sukhoi is the best aerobatic airplane in the world and has a unique way of demonstrating both high-speed and low-speed maneuvers. Randy Howell is the owner of the Patriots Jet Team and has 25 years of flying airshows. Cory Lovell is an aerobatic competitor who who has trained with some of the worlds top coaches.
Both Cory and Randy are very passionate about Aviation. Randy is the founder of the Patriots Jet Team Foundation, and Cory is also a volunteer for the Foundation. Our passion is inspiring future aviators, aerospace engineers and maintenance technicians. Both Randy and Cory started flying in their teenage years, soloed at age 16 and got their licenses at age 17. We want to inspire others to do the same.
